Galerie Watson is a contemporary art gallery based in Hamburg, Germany, led by Alice te Neues (née Hinrichs). The gallery focuses on presenting cutting-edge light and media art, as well as site-specific installation art, with a special emphasis on innovative works that push the boundaries of traditional media. Through a collaborative curatorial approach, Galerie Watson encourages artists to explore new forms of expression, incorporating interdisciplinary perspectives and technology-driven experiences into their work.
Founded in 2023 by Alice te Neues, the gallery first opened in a former antiques store (Antik Watson) and relocated to its current space at Milchstraße 2 in Hamburg Rotherbaum in partnership with Thomas Holthoff. Galerie Watson hosts a dynamic program of four curated exhibitions each year, alongside participation in external projects and exhibitions. The gallery strives to offer a platform for both established and emerging artists, engaging audiences with a progressive vision of contemporary art that challenges conventional understandings and embraces a forward-thinking, postmodern approach.
