The installation "One's Sunset is Another One's Sunrise" resembles an artificial sun that shines day and night. This artwork poetically explores the simultaneity and interconnectedness of different realities. The sun has long held a central role in many cultures, symbolising far more than a purely astronomical phenomenon that brings daylight and dispels darkness. In numerous religious and philosophical traditions, the sun is seen as divine or metaphysical, a symbol of life, growth, strength, renewal, protection, and also power. At the same time, it serves as an expression of cultural and societal order, often used to legitimise authority and worldviews.

The installation captures this ambivalent meaning: for everyone, "the sun rises in the east," yet its journey crosses vastly different realities and is subject to diverse interpretations. It unites people worldwide while simultaneously evoking personal associations—from warmth and security to awe for its boundless energy. In this way, the sun embodies a unique and universal force that reflects the human experience in all its dimensions.
