Originally conceived for Schumann’s exhibition innerlight in Mieres, Spain, this work was first presented lying on the floor — a luminous object radiating like a solar body. Its mirrored, iridescent surface shimmers in pink and orange nuances, constantly changing with the surrounding light and the viewer’s movement.
By daylight, the work appears like a sun — reflective, warm, and vibrant. Under blacklight, it transforms completely: the orange glow gives way to deep, electric blue, as if the sculpture were absorbing daylight and releasing it again as nocturnal energy.
While originally installed horizontally, colormirror innerlight orange grooves mieres can also be displayed as a wall sculpture — its transformation between reflection and emission remaining equally captivating.
Viewings possible in Hamburg until January 16, 2026.
